On the top part of the screen you will see what looks like a search bar that you would find when you visit Google homepage. With this search bar you will not be able to look up “The top 10 fashion dress” (if you have no email with that keyword).  This search bar you will be able to look though your e-mails for anything you want.

In the picture above, I was looking for “Google offers”. I typed it in the search bar, and I got all email that have the words “Google offers”.

There are several different ways that you will be able to do to look though the e-mails:

  1. Type in the person’s name of the e-mail that you want.
  2. Type in the specific key phrase that is in the e-mail

While checking your e-mails, you always want to make sure that the web server, that you are using, will actually be secure enough to protect your information.

Gmail is one of the most secure places to be on. But, just like everything else, Gmail is not 100% bullet proof. There are still a few hackers that try to get in-between the cracks.

There are tips that you can follow to lower your chances of being hacked.

*Always keep the https option on. With your Gmail using https no one can eavesdrop on your sign in details or e-mail materials. This can be found by going to Settings ==> General tab.

*Check you IP login information on a regular bases. You are able to do this by scrolling down to the bottom of your Gmail account page; you will see a link entitled “Last Account Activity.” This link will show you last couple of login session, that you e-mail account has had, and where they were done at. This is to make sure that you know what is going on and if something does not seems right, change your password immediately.

*Always keep an eye on your e-mail options and setting. This is to make sure that nothing has changed, that you did not know about.

*When choosing a security question, always make sure that the answer cannot be found on your profile page or anywhere else on the internet.

*Always keep your e-mails backed up on a desktop e-mail program, either on thunderbird or outlook. There are a lot of users that uses their Gmail account as their main e-mail account, so there are a lot of e-mail that are very important in them. Having your e-mails on a back system is to make sure that you do not lose any of your e-mails.

*Have different password for each and every online service that you have. With having a different password for everything, this makes sure that if somebody hacks into one account, they will not be able to hack into your other accounts online.

*Try to change your password, every like 6 months or so.

*Remote monitoring application is sly little applications that can slide past your protection application at times, if it’s a recently designed Trojan virus’s computer malware. They are a major problem since they deliver returning all information you kind returning to the person who had written the computer malware. So at any time you kind your code, the cyberpunk would get having access to it. To prevent yourself from key loggers, Key Scrambler is a must use application. Study more about it here – “Protect yourself from Key loggers”. Key Scrambler is really amazing and I desire our visitors to use it, as it simply makes key loggers ineffective and it’s your 1st line of immunity against them.

Following all these steps will keep your e-mail safe from any unwanted visitors. If by changes you do have an unwanted visitor, change your password to something different.

Setting Up Filters for Your Emails

PinterestFacebookShare

G-mail has a filter feature, which can be found on all their users e-mail. With the filters feature, it allows all the incoming e-mail to be placed, where you want them to go (either in different folders or in spam,) without you lifting a finger.

To create different filters please follow the following steps:

*On your search box, you will find a down arrow, click on it

*Then a screen will appear that will specify the search criteria. The click on the Create filter with this search, which is located on the bottom part of the search window

*Lastly, click the create filter button

When you build a filter to forward information, only new information will be impacted. Any current e-mails will not be moved to the new location, this only works with new e-mails, that would have went into your inbox first.

You are able to create as many filters as you want but just in mind that only 20 filters will allow you to forward e-mails to other address. But to maximize your filters, you can combine your filters (if possible.)

With the filter, you can delete the mail, star it, forward it, or store it in a new label. This amazing feature will make your life a little bit easier because now you do not have to worry about spending time, putting the e-mail where you want them. Now you can have your e-mail do for you.
